An exquisite French gourmet onion sandwich
| toasted bread 4 slices |
| red onion 150 g |
| white onion 150 g |
| hard cheese 100 g |
| white dry wine 50 ml |
| honey 40 g |
| black balsamic 40 ml |
| butter 70 g |
| salt, black pepper to taste |
Step 1
Slice the onion into thin half rings and sauté in butter. Pour in and evaporate the wine. Add the balsamic, honey, salt and black pepper. Braise for 5-10 minutes, then allow it to cool.
Step 2
Brush the toasts with butter. Place a slice of cheese on each of the two toasts. After spreading all the onions on them, put another slice of cheese and cover with the remaining toasts.
Step 3
Grill the sandwiches until browned (if you don't have a grill, make the toasts in a toaster or oven, butter them and while they are hot, put the cheese on them and then the warm onions). Enjoy!
