A Turkish mackerel burger called balik ekmek.
| wheat buns 2 pcs |
| mackerel fillets (skin on) 2 pcs |
| red onion 40 g |
| tomatoes 100 g |
| salad leaves 20 g |
| lemon 1/2 pc |
| olive oil 20 ml |
| salt 1/2 tsp. |
| black pepper 1/2 tsp. |
| thyme 1/2 tsp. |
| dried garlic 1/2 tsp. |
| dried basil 1/2 tsp. |
| oregano 1/2 tsp. |
| red pepper to taste |
Step 1
Season the fish with salt and spices, brush with oil and fry until cooked through.
Step 2
Cut the buns in half, butter and brown.
Step 3
Put fish fillets on the bottom halves of the buns, season with lemon juice, add onion and tomato rings, salad leaves and cover with the top halves. Bon appetit!
