The recipe for Linz cookies

powdered sugar 175 g |

ground almonds 100 g |

Step 1
Knead the butter, flour, powdered sugar, salt, almonds, egg and ground cinnamon into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 190 °C (high/low heat) and line a baking tray with baking paper. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 0.5 cm thick layer and cut out 24 cookies (Ø 6 cm). Cut small holes in the center of half of the cookies.
Step 3
Bake the cookies in the oven (medium) for approx. 10 minutes until golden brown, then remove and let cool completely. Brush the cookies without holes with jam. Sprinkle the remaining cookies with powdered sugar and place on top of the jam.
