This salad was once considered the food of the poor, who had no choice but to soak stale bread in vinegar and oil and mix it with vegetables. Today, this salad is no less popular than spaghetti, pizza and other Italian dishes. so we cook it too, but in our own way with anchovies.

Ingredients


anchovies in oil 50 g
pink tomato 1 pc
cucumbers (small) 3 pcs
red onion 1/2 pc
bell pepper 1/4 pc
dried bread 1 slice
basil
olive oil
wine vinegar
sugar
salt
pepper

Instructions


Step 1

Pour the oil from the anchovies into a bowl. Add the olive oil, wine vinegar, a little salt, sugar and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Cut the dried bread into cubes. Place in a bowl and stir so that the bread absorbs the oil.

Step 3

Add the red onion, cut into large slices.

Step 4

Coarsely chop the tomato, pepper and cucumbers and add to the salad.

Step 5

Place anchovy fillets in the salad, mix and serve.
