A dessert worthy of French boulangeries - apple roses in puff pastry
red apples 400 g |
puff pastry 300 g |
wheat flour 30 g |
sugar 150 g |
dried walnuts 90 g |
melted butter 50 g |
boiling water 200 ml |
vegetable oil 15 ml |
ground cinnamon 1 tsp. |
lemon juice 25 ml |
Step 1
Cut the apples in half, remove the core, cut the pulp into thin slices.
Step 2
For the syrup, combine 80 grams of sugar with boiling water and lemon juice and bring to the boil. Soak the apples in the syrup, leave for 10 minutes, then drain in a colander.
Step 3
Dust the table with flour. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, 3 millimeters thick. Cut into 6 equal strips. Brush each strip with butter. From the center, overlap the apples lengthwise. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar and chopped nuts. Fold the dough in half and twist into rosettes.
Step 4
Grease muffin molds with vegetable oil, place apple "rosettes" in them and bake at 210 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Enjoy.
