 
Traditional Ukrainian appetizer fritters - fuchki with smoked lard.
| sauerkraut 300 g | 
| smoked lard 80 g | 
| sour cream (15%) 200 g | 
| milk 50 ml | 
| onion 60 g | 
| wheat flour 250 g | 
| eggs 3 pcs | 
| vegetable oil 50 ml | 
| leavening agent 5 g | 
| TO TASTE: | 
| salt | 
| black pepper | 
| dried garlic | 
| ground cumin | 
Step 1
Sift together the flour and baking powder.
Step 2
Add spices, sour cream, milk, eggs, squeezed cabbage, chopped lard and onion. Season with salt and mix.
Step 3
Fry the fuchki in vegetable oil until browned on both sides. If desired, serve with sour cream. Bon appetit.
