Step 1
Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the whites into a thick foam and the yolks with the sugar.
Step 2
Add the flour, milk and rum to the beaten yolks. Knead the dough and add the baking powder.
Step 3
Add the almonds, candied fruit, orange and lemon zest and almond essence.
Step 4
Mix the whipped egg whites into the batter.
Step 5
Grease the mold with vegetable oil. Place the dough in the mold and bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
