Crispy and juicy chicken stewed in a tangy orange sauce
| chicken thighs (flesh) 400 g |
| egg yolk 1 pc |
| soy sauce 15 ml |
| cornstarch 40 g |
| vegetable oil 35 ml |
| salt to taste |
| black pepper to taste |
| chicken seasoning to taste |
| SAUCE: |
| orange juice 220 ml |
| garlic 2 cloves |
| ginger root 10 g |
| soy sauce 20 ml |
| apple cider vinegar 25 ml |
| cornstarch 5 g |
| sugar 20 g |
| salt to taste |
Step 1
Coarsely dice the meat, mix with salt, pepper, chicken seasoning, soy sauce and egg yolk.
Step 2
Coat in starch and fry in vegetable oil until browned.
Step 3
For the sauce, mix the minced garlic and ginger with the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer the meat in the sauce for 1 minute.
Step 4
Serve with rice, if desired. Enjoy.
