| CARAMELIZED ONIONS: |
| white onion 300 g |
| honey 25 g |
| butter 20 g |
| balsamic vinegar 25 ml |
| white dry wine 30 ml |
| salt, pepper to taste |
Step 1
Prepare caramelized onions. Sliced onions in half rings, sauté them in butter. Season with salt and pepper, add the honey and saute for 5 minutes. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and, stirring constantly, cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the wine and braise for another 5 minutes. Then allow the onions to cool completely.
Step 2
Prepare the meat bread. Sauté the finely diced onion in olive oil. Add the chopped bacon and fry for a few minutes. Then transfer the onion and bacon to a bowl, add all the minced meat, grated cheese, grated garlic, broth, eggs, breadcrumbs, spices, salt and mix until smooth.
Step 3
Transfer the minced meat into a mold greased with butter. Put the bay leaves on top. Bake the meat bread for 1 hour at 180 degrees. Serve cold with caramelized onions.
