Cauliflower baked in thick cream sauce with almond nut and cheese

Ingredients


cauliflower 800 g
roasted almonds 40 g
milk 300 ml
cream (20%) 200 ml
hard cheese 100 g
butter 50 g
wheat flour 40 g
lemon 1 pc
TO TASTE:
salt
black pepper
smoked paprika
nutmeg

Instructions


Step 1

Prepare the sauce. Fry the flour in the butter until golden, pour in the cream, milk and nutmeg. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

Step 2

Add the juice and rinds of the lemon and halved cauliflower to the salted water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Transfer the cauliflower to ice water, then break into florets and place in a baking dish. Sprinkle with smoked paprika, pour over the sauce, add the chopped almonds and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Step 4

Bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.

Step 5

Serve hot. Enjoy.
