Rice exotica from faraway Indonesia - light, hearty and spicy Nasi goreng rice with mussels.
| boiled jasmine rice 300 g |
| cooked frozen mussels 400 g |
| eggs 2 pcs |
| onions 40 g |
| garlic 3 cloves |
| sugar 10 g |
| soy sauce 30 ml |
| oyster sauce 25 g |
| green onion 20 g |
| vegetable oil 50 ml |
| fresh chili pepper to taste |
| salt to taste |
Step 1
Mix the eggs with salt. Fry two omelettes and roll them into tubes.
Step 2
Chop garlic, onion, chili pepper and fry a little in vegetable oil. Add the sugar and fry, stirring until it melts.
Step 3
Put in the rice and fry for another 3-4 minutes. Then add the sliced omelettes, pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, add the chopped green onions and stir.
Step 4
Fry the mussels lightly in vegetable oil separately, add them to the rice and stir.
Step 5
If desired, serve with chili peppers, cilantro and lemon. Enjoy!
