The first course of our Sunday menu will have a French twist and that's chicken meatballs in onion sauce baked under cheese
| minced chicken 0.5 kg |
| hard cheese 230 g |
| breadcrumbs 60 g |
| egg 1 pc |
| garlic 2 cloves |
| parsley 10 g |
| olive oil 30 ml |
| salt to taste |
| black pepper to taste |
| SOUCE: |
| onions (you can use shallots or leeks) 300 g |
| garlic 3 cloves |
| white dry wine 50 ml |
| chicken stock 120 ml |
| butter 60 g |
| salt to taste |
| black pepper to taste |
Step 1
Combine the chopped garlic and parsley, one third of the grated cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic and egg. Season with salt and pepper, mix well and baste.
Step 2
Form the meatballs and place them in a mold greased with olive oil. Bake at 180° for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Prepare the sauce. Chop garlic and onion, fry in butter. Pour in and evaporate the wine. Add the stock, salt and pepper and simmer for a couple of minutes.
Step 4
Pour sauce over meatballs, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for another 5 minutes. Enjoy!
