Bombay-style potatoes

Even the most ordinary potatoes will be transformed into something unusual and exotic - it is worth adding some Indian spices to them.

Ingredients


potatoes (cut into small pieces) 6 pcs.
carrots (cut into circles) 2 pcs.
colorful sweet peppers (cut into coarse straws)
onion (cut into half rings) 1 pc
large tomato 1 pc
raisins 1 handful
garlic (minced)
mustard seeds 1 tbsp.

Instructions


Step 1

Fry the mustard seeds with the cardamom, ground coriander, curry paste, hot pepper and zira in the vegetable oil. Add garlic and onion. Then the sweet peppers, potatoes and carrots. Mix everything together and stir-fry a little.

Step 2

Add raisins and tomato pulp. Pour a little hot water and salt. Cover with foil and put in the oven to stew for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and keep in the oven for another 15 minutes. Finally add the yogurt and season with freshly ground black pepper.

If you don't have yogurt (a very popular product in Indian cuisine, by the way), try replacing it with sour cream mixed with lemon juice.
