Step 1
Prepare the pastry crumbs. Combine all ingredients, mix with a mixer, transfer to a container and freeze.
Step 2
Prepare the muffins. Combine butter, sugar, egg and vanilla sugar. Beat with mixer.
Step 3
Sift flour with baking powder, add milk, salt and beat with mixer.
Step 4
Combine both mixtures, add the currants and mix. Spread the dough into parchment-lined molds and sprinkle with pastry crumbs.
Step 5
Bake the muffins at 170 degrees for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
