Golden latte with turmeric, ginger and almond milk. Ground turmeric, turmeric paste or turmeric root will do.

Ingredients


almond milk 1 cup
turmeric 1/2 tsp.
grated ginger 1/2 tsp.
honey to taste
OPTIONAL:
cinnamon
vanilla

Instructions


Step 1

Heat milk with turmeric powder and ginger in a saucepan and let the mixture infuse for about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Then whisk in the stationary mixer on the highest speed for a minute. The result is a golden yellow milk with a sweet-spicy flavor.

Step 3

The drink can be sweetened with honey, or you can top it with cinnamon or the core of a vanilla bean.

You can prepare a paste of water and turmeric powder in advance. Boil 1/4 cup of turmeric with 3/4 cup of water on low heat for 11 minutes. The cooked turmeric paste keeps in the refrigerator for up to three weeks. It will make "golden milk" — turmeric lattes — in no time.
