Recipe for Japanese matcha latte tea with plant milk

Ingredients


powdered yerba mate tea 1 tsp.
whisk or chasen (matcha tea whisk)
water and/or almond milk 300 ml

Instructions


Step 1

Mix 1 tsp. tea powder and 2 tbsp. cold water in a container. Heat the water and/or milk, whisk and add to the brewed matcha tea. Stir and enjoy the flavor.

Step 2

The drink can also be made using a stationary mixer. Beat the mixture on the highest speed for a minute. Most mattya latte recipes contain more milk and less water. Matty lattes can be sweetened with brown sugar or agave syrup.

To prevent lumps from forming, it is recommended to stir the matcha tea with a special stirrer. Then add foamed almond milk, coconut milk or soy milk to taste.
