Before Easter, all Ukrainian housewives are looking for the best recipe for a flavorful Easter. The famous Ukrainian singer Tina Karol took it upon herself to help them, sharing her family secrets of preparing the traditional dish.
As the artist admitted in a Facebook note, she got this recipe from her mother. Every year Tina Karol reproduces it in her kitchen and considers cottage cheese Easter her masterpiece.
| cottage cheese 1 kg |
| cream (10%) 1 cup |
| eggs 5 pcs |
| sugar 2 cups |
| butter 1 pack |
| raisins (light) 100 g |
| walnuts 100 g |
| candied fruit 100 g |
| vanilla sugar 1 packet |
| zest of 1 lemon |
Step 1
Separate the yolks from the whites and whisk them. Add the cream and bring to the boil in a thick-bottomed saucepan, stirring constantly. Leave the liquid to cool.
Step 2
Roast the nuts in a dry pan and wash and dry the raisins. Grate the zest of one lemon.
Step 3
In the cooled mass put cottage cheese, butter and rub everything thoroughly. Then add raisins, candied fruit, nuts, lemon zest and vanilla sugar and mix well.
Step 4
Put the mixture into a mold covered with two layers of damp cheesecloth and place in the refrigerator for 12 hours. The finished Easter can be decorated with candied fruits, icing, sprinkles.
