Fragrant, fluffy and ruddy paska, which absorbed all the best from all over Ukraine
wheat flour 0.5 kg |
warm water 180 ml |
drinking yogurt without additives (room temperature) 100 ml |
sugar 80 g |
yolks 3 pcs |
dry yeast for non-steamed baking 10 g |
melted butter 50 g |
raisins and candied fruit 75 g |
zest of 1 lemon |
powdered sugar 2 tbsp. |
vanilla sugar 2 tsp. |
salt 2 pinches |
Step 1
Sift the flour and mix with the yeast. Separately mix 2 yolks, water, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, oil, yogurt and zest. Combine the two mixtures, knead the dough, cover with clingfilm and leave in a warm place for an hour and a half.
Step 2
Then knead the dough, separate one fourth of it and combine the rest with the mixture of candied fruit, raisins and powdered sugar. Mix well and place in an oiled mold.
Step 3
Make an ornament out of the remaining dough, decorate the paska and leave in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
Step 4
Then pierce the surface with a skewer in several places, grease with egg yolk and bake for 45-55 minutes at 180 degrees. Bon appetit.
