A French delicacy made from stale Easter.

A French delicacy made from stale Easter.

After Easter, many overly prudent hostesses may have some holiday Easter left over. However, it can lose flavor and become stale over the few days of the holiday.

But don't rush to feed the Easter goodies to the birds.

We have prepared a recipe for you to turn yesterday's kulich into appetizing French toast.

Ingredients

Dried Easter 12-14 pieces
Sugar 80 g
Cream (from 30% fat content) 400 g
Vanilla sugar
Eggs
Butter

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to whisk the yolks with vanilla, sugar and cream. Next, dip each piece of Easter into this mixture. Hold for a few seconds, take out and let the excess drip off.

Step 2

A skillet should be placed on medium heat and melt butter. Fry the toasts for 2 minutes on each side until golden.

Step 3

These toasts can be served with Nutella, maple syrup, fresh berries and fruits, caramel, jam, ice cream, etc.
