Scallops are not very popular with us, although in fact they are quite affordable, very easy and quick to prepare. Let's spoil ourselves and our friends.

Scallops (defrosted) 8 pieces
kumquats 8 pcs
cucumbers (cut into slices) 2 pieces
olive oil
orange
Thai sauce a few spoonfuls
turmeric (for color) a pinch
Step 1
Pat the scallops dry. Trim the tips off both sides of the kumquats. Thread the scallops, kumquats and cucumber slices onto skewers (wooden skewers are ideal for the skillet).
Step 2
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet. Fry the kebabs for a few minutes on both sides.
Step 3
In the skillet where the kebabs were fried, pour in the orange juice, add the turmeric and evaporate the juice a bit. Then add the Thai sauce. Salt to taste. Serve kebabs with sauce.
If the scallops are overcooked, they will become "rubbery". A few minutes is enough until the meat becomes transparent.
