Flavorful Armenian boraks with ground beef

Ingredients

dumpling dough 0.5 kg
ground beef 0.5 kg
wheat flour 30 g
onion 200 g
garlic 4 cloves
meat broth 2 liters
butter 50 g
vegetable oil 45 ml
red basil 15 g
parsley 15 g
TO TASTE:
salt
black pepper
red pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Fry the chopped garlic and onion in vegetable oil. Add the minced meat, salt and spices, fry until the moisture evaporates. Transfer the minced meat to a bowl, mix with chopped herbs and let cool.

Step 2

Dust the table with flour. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 mm. Cut into squares with sides of 8-10 centimeters.

Step 3

Put the filling on each square, moisten the edge of the dough with water and form the boraki - the bottom should be "sealed" and the filling should not reach the top by 1 cm.

Step 4

Place the boraki vertically in the pan. Mix the broth with a tablespoon of vegetable oil, bring to a boil and fill the boraki 3/4 full. Then simmer under a lid for 10-12 minutes.

Step 5

Fry the boraki in butter until browned. Bon appetit.
