Unbeatable apples in sweet crispy caramel
apples (large) 2 pcs |
wheat flour 2 tbsp. |
turmeric 1 pinch |
starch 2 tbsp. |
ice water 4 tbsp. |
vegetable oil 1 tbsp. |
FOR CARAMEL: |
sugar 300 g |
water 300 ml |
apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp. |
ice water (to cool the caramel) |
Step 1
Prepare the batter. Mix flour, starch, turmeric and water. Dip the peeled and coarsely chopped apples in the batter and fry in vegetable oil until golden on all sides. Remove excess oil by placing apples on paper towels.
Step 2
Next, prepare the caramel. Combine the water, sugar and vinegar, mix well and cook the caramel until golden. Using a skewer, dip each apple slice into the caramel and immediately cool in ice water. Dessert is ready!
