Elardi's corn porridge with tomato salad

Traditional Georgian dish elardzhi with tomato salad.

Ingredients


corn grits 200 g
polenta 50 g
water 0,5 l
grated suluguni cheese 250 g
salt, black pepper to taste
SALAD:
tomatoes 300 g
red onion 100 g
basil 15 g
green onion 15 g
olive oil 40 ml
salt, black pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Put the washed groats into boiling salted water and cook at minimum temperature, stirring until the porridge thickens and puffs.

Step 2

Then add the polenta and cook, stirring constantly, for another 10 minutes.

Step 3

Add the cheese and stir until melted.

Step 4

For the salad, combine the chopped vegetables and herbs. Season with oil, salt and pepper.

Step 5

Serve elarji with the salad. Enjoy.
