Original homemade cherry jam with almond walnuts and cinnamon

Ingredients


cherries (pitted) 1 kg
sugar (to taste, you can add more or less) 0.5 kg
lemon juice 30 ml
ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp.
jellin (or jelfix) 20 g
almonds (raw) 150 g

Instructions


Step 1

Combine 40 grams of sugar with the jelly and mix well. Pour the remaining sugar over the cherries and leave for 4 hours.

Step 2

After this time, combine both mixtures in a saucepan, add the cinnamon, lemon juice, almonds and mix well.

Step 3

Bring to a boil and, stirring occasionally, simmer for 10 minutes. Afterwards, allow the jam to cool completely.

Step 4

If desired, serve with galettes. Enjoy.
