Recipe for White Schneeflocken cookies (White Schneeflocken)

vanilla sugar 1 packet |

Step 1
Using your fingers, rub the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg into the butter and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and put it in the refrigerator for about 1.5 hours.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 190 °C (high/low heat) and line a baking tray with baking paper. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 0.5 cm thick layer and cut out 20 snowflakes (8 cm).
Step 3
Place the snowflakes on a baking tray a little distance apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until browned. Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 4
Prepare a thick icing by mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice. Decorate the cookies with the icing and sugar pearls.
