Classic Belgian recipe for Mussels with leeks in white wine
Mussels in shells (fresh or frozen) 0,5 kg |
Leeks (chopped) 1 pc |
White wine 1 cup |
Garlic (peel and chop) 1 pc |
Olive oil |
Butter |
Salt |
Pepper |
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet along with the butter.
Step 2
Lightly fry the garlic.
Step 3
Add the leeks, stir and after a minute you can add the wine.
Step 4
Season with pepper and a little salt.
Step 5
Add the mussels and cover with a lid. After a few minutes the dish will be ready.
Never eat mussels whose shells don't open properly after heat treatment.
