Herring comes in many forms - Caspian, Dutch, Norwegian.... But first of all, we love this fish for its familiar and almost "national" taste. And today we will cook herring in Hungarian style!
herring fillet 2 pcs
potatoes 1 pc
beet (small) 1 pc
apple 1/2 pc
red onion 1 pc
juice of half a lemon
chives 1 bunch
balsamic vinegar 50 ml
olive oil
black pepper
Step 1
Boil the potatoes and beets. It is better to take white potatoes that are not crumbly.
Step 2
Cut the vegetables and apple into thin slices. To prevent the apple from darkening, splash it with lemon juice.
Step 3
Marinate the beet slices in balsamic vinegar and a few tablespoons of olive oil.
Step 4
Slice the herring horizontally, making the fillets thinner.
Step 5
Roll the potato, beet and apple slices into the herring fillet. Secure with a red onion ring.
Step 6
Season the "Rusli" with balsamic vinegar and black pepper, garnish with chives and serve as an appetizer.
