To be more precise, she is not talking, but preparing a classic New Year's dish "Herring under a fur coat". Join us!

Ingredients


herring fillet 1 pc
boiled beet (small) 1
boiled carrots (thick) 1 pc
boiled potatoes 1 pc
red onion 1 pc
FOR MAJONESE:
yolks 2 pcs
olive oil 250 ml
mustard powder 1 tsp.
salt, black pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Boil the vegetables in their coats until tender. Peel and cut into circles. The vegetables should be almost the same size in diameter, so choose fleshy carrots, medium-sized potatoes and small beets.

Step 2

Peel and slice the onion into rings. In turn, cut the herring into slices.

Step 3

Place the herring on a plate, top with a "pyramid" lay out the circles of vegetables - potatoes, beets, onions and carrots. Pour homemade mayonnaise over the pyramid.

Step 4

For homemade mayonnaise: Rub the egg yolk with mustard powder and salt. Then, whisking constantly, add the olive oil in a thin stream. The mayonnaise should be quite thick.
