Japanese rice balls with beef and green beans - Yaki onigiri
| boiled sushi rice 850 g |
| beef flesh 250 g |
| broccoli florets 150 g |
| onions 40 g |
| sesame seeds 10 g |
| soy sauce 60 ml |
| green onion 20 g |
| vegetable oil 50 ml |
| salt, black pepper to taste |
| Sauce: |
| soy sauce 120 ml |
| garlic 2 cloves |
| grated ginger root 1 tsp. |
| honey 60 g |
| cornstarch 2 tsp. |
Step 1
Finely dice the meat and onion. Fry in vegetable oil. Add chopped broccoli, salt and black pepper. Fry until browned.
Step 2
Squeeze garlic and mix with the rest of the ingredients for the sauce. Pour over meat and cook for 4 minutes. Add the sesame seeds and stir.
Step 3
Cover a 10-12 cm diameter pial or bowl with foil. Spread rice over the sides, place a tablespoon of filling on each side and use the foil to form balls.
Step 4
Fry them in oil until browned, brushing with soy sauce. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
