The first Tramezzini sandwich was made in 1925 in a Turin cafe as an alternative to the English tea sandwich. Today we offer you to prepare a Ukrainian-style Italian sandwich with herring, cucumber and beet.

Step 1
Toast the toast in the oven or toaster oven and trim the edges.
Step 2
Peel and grate the pre-boiled beet. Peel and finely chop the cucumber.
Step 3
Cut herring fillets into small cubes. Combine with beet and cucumber.
Step 4
Fill the filling with Philadelphia cheese and mix.
Step 5
Spread the filling on 2 toasts, cover with the remaining bread and press down a little.
Step 6
Cut the sandwiches into triangles.
