A dessert you can't resist — a flavorful chocolate babka

Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add eggs, sugar and salt. Stir.
Step 2
Add the butter and sifted flour. Knead the dough, cover with clingfilm and leave in a warm place for 2 hours.
Step 3
Melt the chocolate in a steam bath. Mix in the butter, powdered sugar and cocoa. Stir.
Step 4
Dust the table with flour, knead the dough and roll out into a rectangle 1.5 cm thick.
Step 5
Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the dough, roll it into a tight roll, cut it in half lengthwise and form a braid.
Step 6
Place in an oiled mold, cover with a towel and leave to proof for 1.5 hours.
Step 7
Then bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Step 8
Mix all the ingredients for the syrup, bring to a boil, pour over the babka and leave for at least 20 minutes. Enjoy.
