Sweet and flavorful yams baked with red onion and sage leaves

Ingredients


sweet potatoes 600 g
red onion 2 pcs
sage leaves 12 pcs
olive oil 6 tbsp.
zira 1/2 tsp.
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Peel the yams and slice into slices about 1 cm thick. Peel the onions and cut into eight pieces.

Step 2

Put the yams in a heatproof dish, add the red onion, season with zither, salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.

Step 3

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 30 minutes until the potatoes and onions are soft and fragrant.

Step 4

Then add the sage leaves and bake for a further 5-10 minutes until crisp.
