Hungarian Langosi flatbreads

Hungarian Langoshi flatbread with cheese and sour cream sauce

Ingredients


wheat flour 230 g
warm water 170 ml
sugar 1.5 tsp.
dry quick yeast 5 g
hard cheese (grated on a fine grater) 200 g
vegetable oil 150 ml
salt a pinch
SOUR CREAM SAUCE:
fat sour cream 200 g
garlic 2 cloves
salt, black pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Dissolve the yeast, salt and sugar in the water. Sift the flour into the mixture, knead the dough and cover with clingfilm.

Step 2

After an hour, knead the dough and leave it for another 40 minutes.

Step 3

Then divide it into two parts, form tortillas, 18-20 centimeters in diameter, and fry in well heated oil for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Step 4

For the sauce, combine the minced garlic with the rest of the ingredients.

Step 5

Brush the langoshi with the sauce, sprinkle with cheese, and top with paprika and green onions if desired. Enjoy!
