Call it what you want potato kartoplyaniki, zrazy or, as in Western Ukraine, kartoflyaniki! The most important thing is that it is very tasty! Today we're making potato kartoplyaniki with porcini mushrooms, and we suggest serving them with grainy cottage cheese.
mashed potatoes 400-500 g |
dried porcini mushrooms 100 g |
egg 1 pc |
onion 1 pc |
leavening agent 1 tsp. |
bread crumbs |
parsley greens |
vegetable oil |
cottage cheese |
salt |
pepper |
Step 1
Finely chop the onions and fry them in a little vegetable oil.
Step 2
Put the pre-boiled porcini mushrooms through a meat grinder and mix with the mashed potatoes. Beat the egg, add the leavening agent and fried onions. Salt, pepper and add some parsley, chopping it finely.
Step 3
Form small potatoes, coat in bread crumbs and fry in vegetable oil until browned. Place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Step 4
Serve with grainy cottage cheese.
