Forshmak according to the recipe of Ivan Ivanchenko, chef of Odessa restaurant "Kompot"

Ingredients


herring (large) 2 pcs
apples (medium size) 2 pcs
onions 1 pc
butter 75 g
eggs 2 pcs
walnuts 5 pcs
lemon juice 1 tbsp.
olive oil 1 tbsp.
salt, ground black pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Twice twist the herring fillets through a meat grinder.

Step 2

Peel apples from peel and core and together with peeled onions twist in a meat grinder together with herring.

Step 3

Add butter, lemon juice, salt, pepper, walnuts grated on a fine grater and boiled eggs to the minced meat. Mix everything.

Step 4

Put the forshmak in a plate, pour olive oil over it. Serve the forshmak with croutons of black bread.
