A terrific, hearty German cabbage pie without a single gram of flour, but with meat!
sauerkraut 800 g |
chicken eggs 3 pcs |
minced pork and beef 400 g |
onion 1 pc |
butter 30 g |
vegetable oil 30 g |
cinnamon 1/4 tsp. |
cumin 1/2 tsp. |
breadcrumbs 40 g |
sour cream (20%) 200 g |
salt, pepper - to taste |
Step 1
Chop the onion and fry it in the vegetable oil. Add the minced meat, fry for a few minutes, then salt, pepper, curry, cumin and braise with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with salt, pepper and half of the breadcrumbs. Pour this mixture over the sauerkraut and mix well.
Step 3
Grease the bottom and sides of the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with the remaining breadcrumbs. Evenly place a layer of cabbage in the mold, then a layer of minced meat, then a layer of cabbage again. Brush the surface of the pie with sour cream and, if desired, sprinkle with curry.
Step 4
Bake the pie in the oven for 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Serve warm.
