Delicious and hearty Canadian meat pie with different types of minced meat and potatoes

potatoes (peeled) 250 g |
potato broth 120 ml |
onions 150 g |
garlic 5 cloves |
butter 30 g |
vegetable oil 30 ml |

ground allspice |
Step 1
Mix the sifted flour with the baking powder. Add the butter and salt. Knead into an elastic, soft dough. Cover with clingfilm and leave in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
Step 2
Cut the potatoes into cubes and boil until half-cooked.
Step 3
Chop the onion and garlic, fry in vegetable oil. Add all the minced meat and stir-fry for another 10 minutes. Season with spices and salt, pour in the potato broth, mix and stew under a closed lid for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Brown the potatoes in butter and add to the mince along with the chopped parsley. Stir.
Step 5
Then divide the dough in a ratio of 60 by 40. Grease the mold with butter. Spread most of the dough on the bottom and sides of the mold. Place the filling.
Step 6
Roll out the remaining dough into a circle, cover the pie with it, pinch the edges and make a few cuts on the surface with a knife. Brush the pie with egg yolk and bake at 170 degrees for 45 minutes. Bon appetit!
