American Watergate Fruit Salad
Watergate Salad, also known as Pistachio Delight, is a dessert salad made with pistachio pudding (the green part), canned pineapple, whipped cream, crushed pecans and marshmallows. It is quick and easy to prepare: the ingredients are mixed and then refrigerated, if desired. The dish is very popular in the Midwestern United States.
Ingredients
| instant pistachio pudding 4 packs |
| tangerines 2 cans |
| chopped pineapple 2 cans |
| fruit cocktail 1 can |
| mini marshmallows 2 cups |
| whipped cream |
Instructions
Step 1
Pour the chopped pineapple (with juice) into a large bowl. Add the pistachio pudding. Stir.
Step 2
Add marshmallows and tangerines. Stir to combine.
Step 3
Add whipped cream. Stir.
Step 4
Chill in the refrigerator.
