Today we have a recipe from childhood - for both children and adults. We are making exactly the same lazy dumplings that our grandmothers used to make - with cherries and meringue.
cottage cheese 200 g
egg 1 pc
boiled potatoes 1 pc
semolina 3-4 tbsp.
salt a pinch
vegetable-cream mixture
cherries 100 g
sugar
egg white 2 pcs
powdered sugar
Step 1
Prepare the dough. Take one potato, add semolina instead of flour, as well as cottage cheese, a pinch of salt and one egg. Knead the dough, add a little flour on top to make it easier to roll out the lazy dumplings.
Step 2
Roll out a sausage from the dough, cut and boil the dumplings. Very quickly send them into boiling water so that they boil all at the same time.
Step 3
Prepare the filling for the dumplings. Pour sugar and cherries into a frying pan and heat a little. This is such a very quick fresh cherry jam.
Step 4
Finally the dumplings are boiled, they cook instantly. Plus there are already boiled potatoes in here, so practically it's just semolina and cottage cheese to cook.
Step 5
Let's move on to buttering our lazy dumplings. Add a vegetable-cream mixture, not butter. After all, it is thanks to vegetable oil that the dish will not be too caloric. But the butter in the mix will give a great creamy flavor and aroma. Add a few spoonfuls directly on the hot dumplings.
Step 6
Transfer the cooked dumplings to a plate, add meringue and top with cherries. You can eat and remember your childhood.
