Can there be anything more flavorful and delicious than apple cinnamon pie? The correct answer is no! That's what we thought, and that's why we're baking it today. And we recommend it to you!

Step 1
Prepare the shortcrust pastry by mixing the flour, butter, egg yolk, sugar, ice water and a pinch of salt. Knead, form into a ball and wrap in cling film. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Divide the dough into 2 parts and roll out. Place one layer in a round baking dish, forming a rim.
Step 3
Dice the apples. Place in a bowl, add the cinnamon, breadcrumbs, starch, a little sugar to taste and mix.
Step 4
Place the filling in the mold and cover with the second sheet of dough. Pinch the sides and make a pattern around the edges with a fork. Poke the top of the pie with a fork to allow steam to escape.
Step 5
Cut out an apple shape from the rest of the pastry and decorate the pie. The apple itself can be decorated with apple seeds.
Step 6
Bake for 25 minutes at 170°C.
