Ingredients


fillet of lightly salted herring 2 pieces
potatoes 1 pc
chicory 1 pc
frozen green beans 100 g
egg 1 pc
olives 50 g
cherry tomatoes 4 pcs
canned white beans 200 g
mustard seed 1 tsp.
garlic 1 clove
sugar 1/2 tsp.
white wine vinegar 1 tbsp.
olive oil 4 tbsp.
black pepper
salt

Instructions


Step 1

Peel the potatoes and boil them until tender.

Step 2

Boil the eggs hard-boiled, dip in cold water and peel off the shells.

Step 3

Tip the white beans into a colander and allow all the liquid to drain out.

Step 4

Wash the beans, put them in a colander and put them in boiling water for 6 minutes.

Step 5

Cut the olives into halves and the herring into thin strips.

Step 6

Cut the potatoes and eggs into slices. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.

Step 7

Layer all the salad ingredients in a large bowl, drizzle with the dressing and mix well. Serve the Nicoise salad in "boats" on chicory leaves.

Step 8

For the dressing: Mix together the finely chopped garlic, mustard, sugar, vinegar and olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
