To wrap up Italian Pasta Week, Dasha is making the legendary Lasagna Bolognese, a favorite dish of Sophia Loren and American comic book character Garfield the cat! Try it!
Lasagna dough 4 sheets |

Parmesan cheese |

FOR BOLOGNESE SAUCE: |
minced meat (pork/beef) 300 g |
onion 1 onion |
garlic 1 clove |
tomatoes in their own juice 1 can |
black pepper |

FOR BÉCHAMEL SAUCE: |
milk 1/2 liter |
flour 1,5 tbsp. |
bay leaf 1 pc |
butter 100 g |
nutmeg 1 pinch |
salt |
Step 1
Prepare the Bolognese and Béchamel sauces.
Step 2
Grease the lasagna dish with olive oil. Pour some of the Béchamel and Bolognese sauces on the bottom of the mold. Place the Lasagna sheets on top of the sauce with a slight overlap. Place the Bolognese sauce on top of the dough, sprinkle with grated cheese and brush with the Béchamel sauce.
Step 3
Repeat the procedure several times, as long as there are enough ingredients. Cover the Lasagna with the last sheet of dough, drizzle with Béchamel sauce, sprinkle thickly with Parmesan and garnish with cherry tomatoes.
Step 4
Bake the Lasagna in a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes at 180 C.

For the Bolognese sauce:

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
Step 7
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic. Add the mince and fry, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Add the tomatoes in their own juice, black pepper and salt to the mince. Cover with a lid and cook for 7-10 minutes.

For the Béchamel sauce:

Boil the milk. Add the nutmeg and bay leaf to the milk and remove from the heat.
Step 11
Melt the butter in a pan, pour in the flour and fry lightly until nutty-scented.
Step 12
Remove the bay leaf from the milk and pour the milk into the pan with the flour in a thin stream, stirring.
Step 13
Bring the sauce to the boil and salt lightly.
