Flavorful focaccia with tomatoes, basil and homemade cottage cheese

warm water 2/3 cup |
dry yeast 1.5 tsp. |
sugar 1 tsp. |
olive oil 2 tbsp. |
flour 300 g |

FOR THE FILLING: |
cottage cheese 150 g |
dried basil 1 tbsp. |
garlic 2 cloves |
olive oil 1 tbsp. |
cherry tomatoes 5 pcs |
Step 1
Prepare the focaccia dough by dissolving the yeast and sugar in warm water. Add the olive oil, half the flour and salt. Stir to combine. Pour the remaining flour into the mixture and knead the dough. Then cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 40 minutes.
Step 2
Prepare the filling — add the basil, garlic, olive oil to the cottage cheese and mix well.
Step 3
Form the focaccia dough with your hands and place it on the outside of a baking tray sprinkled with flour. Then make indentations in the focaccia, fill them with the cottage cheese, tomato halves and leave to rise for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Bake the focaccia at 250 degrees for 15 minutes. Bon appetit!
