Today we bring you an old Soviet recipe - Paul Robeson cake based on honey. Extraordinarily sweet, with a distinct honey flavor and airy texture. This cake is an absolute masterpiece of its time!

Ingredients


FOR BREADS:
Honey 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Soda 1 tsp.
Eggs 2 pcs
Flour 3 tbsp.
FOR THE CREAM:
Sour cream 500 g
Sugar 1 cup
Vanilla extract

Instructions


Step 1

Beat a cup of sugar, eggs, a teaspoon of baking soda, add honey, stir.

Step 2

Then pour in the flour, knead the dough and put it in the cold for 12-24 hours.

Step 3

Grease a baking tray with oil, bake 4 cakes, cut them to the same size.

Step 4

Beat sour cream with sugar, smear over the cakes.

Step 5

Make crumbs from the trimmed edges and sprinkle over the cake.

Step 6

If desired, you can also decorate with grated chocolate or crushed nuts.
