New Year's Eve and Christmas is a wonderful time to not only eat something special, but also to make sure to cook "that special something"! Today in our Christmas kitchen we are making ginger cookies. Join us!

Ingredients

butter 125 g
sugar 100 g
honey 125 ml
egg yolk 1 pc
flour 375 g
powdered sugar 1 cup
juice of 1 lemon
dried ginger 1 tsp.
cinnamon 1/2 tsp.
ground cloves 1/2 pc
baking soda 1 tsp.
pastry colors
sprinkles
dragee

Instructions

Step 1

Beat the butter with the sugar. Add honey, egg yolk and beat well again. Pour in the flour, spices and baking soda. Knead the dough and place in the refrigerator for an hour.

Step 2

Roll out the chilled dough on a piece of parchment paper and cut out the little men. Carefully transfer the paper with the little people to the baking tray.

Step 3

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 180 C. Allow the cookies to cool.

Step 4

Prepare the glaze. Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon juice and mix well.

Step 5

Divide the glaze into several bowls and add a drop of confectionery coloring to each bowl.

Step 6

Cut off the corner of a disposable bag, place the icing in the bag and squeeze it out while decorating the cookies. Before the icing hardens, sprinkle on the dragees.
