An uncommonly balanced Asian salad with pickled radishes
| radish 200 g |
| green onion 30 g |
| hard-boiled eggs 2 pcs |
| sesame seeds 20 g |
| vegetable oil 40 g |
| marinade 40 g |
| chili pepper to taste |
| MARINADE: |
| apple cider vinegar 100 ml |
| lemon (zest and juice) 1/2 pc |
| sugar 100 g |
| soy sauce 50 g |
| garlic 1 clove |
| cloves 1 clove |
Step 1
Prepare the marinade. Mix the grated garlic, sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lemon zest, juice and ground cloves in a bowl.
Step 2
Slice the radishes into thin slices, place in the marinade, stir and leave for 30 minutes. After this time, drain the radishes in a sieve, do not discard the marinade.
Step 3
Prepare the dressing. Mix 40 grams of marinade with vegetable oil. On a dry hot frying pan, toast the sesame seeds until golden, stirring all the time.
Step 4
Combine the pickled radishes with the chopped onions, pour over the dressing, add the chili pepper and mix.
Step 5
Serve the salad with boiled eggs, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
