A gem of Indian cuisine, the main dish of Ayurveda - kichri
| cooked basmati rice 260 g |
| boiled mungbean 220 g |
| carrots 100 g |
| onion 60 g |
| cauliflower 120 g |
| grated ginger root 30 g |
| ghee oil 100 g |
| turmeric 1/2 tsp. |
| juice of 1/2 lemon |
| TO TASTE: |
| fresh chili pepper |
| salt |
| zira |
Step 1
Boil the cauliflower in salted water.
Step 2
Saute grated ginger root, turmeric and zira in ghee oil.
Step 3
Add and fry the chopped onion, carrot and chili pepper.
Step 4
Then add the cauliflower, rice, mung bean, lemon juice, salt and mix.
Step 5
Serve the kichri with cilantro and chili peppers, if desired. Enjoy.
